In a recent podcast episode, Joe Rogan and UFC champion Sean O'Malley praised Tesla Inc.'s Model X Plaid's extraordinary speed, prompting Elon Musk to restate that he "stole" the product plan from "Spaceballs."

"I'm quicker in my Plaid than in my Porsche, and it's silent... It goes across time. A four-door vehicle can go from 0 to 60 mph in 1.9 seconds. "It's insane," he remarked.

O'Malley shared his own experiences with speeding citations when driving the Model X Plaid. "I was pulled over again on the same highway, in the same neighborhood, by the same cop." Rogan also revealed an unusual parenting experience, saying, "In that, I taught my 15-year-old how to drive." It is always set to Ludicrous Mode. It's simple to manage. That's what distinguishes it from other high-powered vehicles."

Musk, never one to pass up a joke, commented on the podcast post, saying, "The only thing beyond ludicrous is plaid."

"I stole the Tesla product roadmap from Spaceballs," he subsequently said, referring to the legendary Mel Brooks satire on the Star Wars saga.
