According to the government-owned corporation, Tesla has committed to establishing its largest sales and service operation in China in a Shanghai industrial park .

After signing a lease with Shanghai Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone Group 600648. According to a statement released on the Chinese company's official Wechat account on Saturday, the Tesla shop, 

which will have an area of 8,000 square meters, or 861,000 square feet,  will open in mid-2024 at Xin Park, a development in Shanghai's Pudong neighborhood. Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The company, which is the biggest manufacturer of electric automobiles in the world, has over 300 stores throughout China. According to a Reuters article from the previous year, 

The business was considering closing a few outlets in opulent malls in significant cities like Beijing. According to a Reuters report, 

The company also plans to focus more on stores in less costly suburban locations that can also do repairs in order to fulfill Chief Executive Elon Musk's goal of boosting customer service.
